If you want to enjoy a view over the city, you should visit this basilica in the heart of Altenburg. The red spires are the landmarks of Altenburg and were built and were built between 1165 and 1172 under the supervision of the emperor Frederick Barbarossa and Udo von Naumburg. They represent one of the most beautiful example of Thuringian Romanesque Architecture. Here is also located the Castle and Playing Card Museum and the Card Fountain.
