Getting Here and Around
The San Andros airport (SAQ) has flights from Fort Lauderdale via Watermakers Air and from Nassau via Le Air, Western Air, and Glen Air. Taxis meet incoming flights. If you want to explore Andros, a car ($70–$90/day), van ($120/day), or a guided group tour by taxi bus (from $50 a half day or $100 a day for a group of five or more), are recommended. Between Fresh Creek and San Andros airport the road is full of potholes, but a repaving project was promised for 2016. Bikes are a good way to get around the closer resort areas and nearby settlements.
